Limits and self-restriction before your first bonus
A bonus with a timer pushes you to play longer than planned. Limits are a simple safeguard that works while you are still thinking clearly.
A wagering bonus creates time pressure: you must hurry, come back, spin a bit more. That is why limits are set before activation, not during play.
Three limits worth setting
- Session time. For example 45 minutes. Set a timer on your phone.
- Weekly deposit amount. An amount you can lose without feeling it.
- Daily loss. Once you reach it, you close the session regardless of the bonus.
Signs it is time to stop
- You top up to “win it back”.
- There is no longer enough money for everyday expenses.
- You hide gambling from family.
- Gambling replaces sleep, work or socialising.
